The first arrangements regarding the Consumer Law had been made in 1995, with the 4077 numbered law on the Protection of the Consumers. As the needs increased in time, in 2014 the 6502 numbered law on the Protection of the Consumers had come into force, and in case of differences the provisions of the 6502 numbered law are referred, which organizes issues like protecting the health and the safety, and the economic interest of the consumers; compensating the damages of the consumers; ensuring the protecting of the consumers against environmental impacts; adopting measures to brief the consumers and to raise their awareness; encouraging protective measures for the consumers and the volunteer organizations for policy making on such issues.
